Dorney Park is a very old amusement park outside Allentown Pennsylvania. Alfundo was the symbol of the park for many years.

The artwork and colors on this ride are just gorgeous. This one was owned by Farrow Shows, at the MidSouth Fair in Memphis.

This banner line was  so impressive and colorful and the live animals inside were just as fascinating. This show is no longer on the road.

This small family amusement park was located near Hazleton Pennsylvania and it closed sometime in the 1980's. I painted this from photos taken when it was in full swing.

A rare sighting these days, this wheel was made by Chance Rides. This one belongs to Funtastic Shows.

One the midway of PBJ Happee Day Shows, this is a very colorful family ride that the kids enjoy.

This famous walk- through Funhouse at Bushkill Park in Easton PA is being restored. However, the front looks different from the photos that I took in 2001 on a visit. It is indeed spelled BARL.

A very popular kiddie ride from Sellner Manufacturing. Bears have 4 different colored bear outfits. Other models have all blue jean bears.

This beautiful 4-abreast custom made Chance carousel has been moved to Beech Bend in Bowling Green, Kentucky in the past few years. It was previously on the West Coast with Carnival Time Shows, first purchased by Larry & JoAnn Davis. It has gone to a beautiful new home on the edge of the lake at the park.

This detailed double-decker carousel is at Jolly Roger Amusement Park in Ocean City, MD, but they can be found throughout the world. A lot of them are inside malls. Made by Bertazzon of Italy.

A custom built unique walk-through fun house on the independent midway circuit . It is at the Del Mar FAir, State Fair of Texas and other top ten fairs.

The Bulgy ride was invented in 1948 by Eyerly Aircraft. It is a real thrill ride for the smallest kids. There's still a lot of these operating.

A concession trailer on Butler Amusement's midway at the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton CA in June 2010. This is one of the beautiful new style trailers with the very high marquee signs. Owned by Jill Butler Moyer.
